Refund Policy
Paid plans are billed in advance. Cancelling stops the next charge and keeps your access until the end of the period you have paid for; it does not refund that period. Six named cases carry a refund, and consumer law overrides all of this where it applies.

1.Scope, and which document wins
This Refund Policy explains, in ordinary language, what Wavn, Inc. (Wavn, we) refunds and what it does not. It is written to be read before you pay.
It adds no right that the Terms of Service do not already give you, and removes none. Each rule below names the clause it restates so you can check the two against each other. Where this page and the Terms differ, the Terms govern.
Nothing here limits a right you have under consumer law where you live. Where the law of your country gives you a cancellation or withdrawal right that is better than this page, that right applies and this page does not override it.
2.The default position
Said plainly first, then the detail.
Paid plans are billed in advance for a period, and that period is not refunded once it has begun. If you cancel in the middle of a month you keep full access until the end of the month you have already paid for, and you are not charged again. You do not get part of that month back. This is clause 8.2 of the Terms.
Cancelling and refunding are two different things. Cancelling stops the next charge. It does not reverse the last one. Clause 18.2.
The free plan is free. There is nothing to refund, and no card is required to use it.
Unused capacity does not carry over and is not refunded. A month in which you used the Service lightly is billed the same as a month in which you used it heavily; that is what a subscription is.
3.When a refund IS due
Six cases, and they are the whole list. In each one you do not have to ask twice, and you do not have to argue.
1. We stop offering Wavn. If we cease to offer the Service generally, you get at least thirty (30) days’ notice and a refund of your prepaid unused fees. Your work stays exportable for thirty (30) days after that. Clause 18.4, and the export window is clause 18.5.
2. We discontinue something you rely on. If Wavn permanently withdraws a material feature of a paid plan that you depend on, you may end the affected subscription within thirty (30) days and receive a pro-rata refund of the prepaid fees you have not used. Clause 18.3.
3. We change the Terms and you do not accept them. If we make a material change and you close your account before it takes effect, you receive a pro-rata refund of prepaid unused fees. Clause 20.3.
4. You object to a new sub-processor and we cannot accommodate it. We publish every sub-processor before it starts. If you object on reasonable data-protection grounds within thirty (30) days and we cannot work around it, you may end the affected subscription and receive a pro-rata refund of prepaid unused fees. Clause 5.3 of the Data Processing Addendum; the list itself is the Sub-processor List.
5. We have to withdraw something for a legal reason. If an intellectual property claim forces us to stop providing part of the Service to you and we end the affected subscription, we refund your prepaid unused fees. Clause 16.4.
6. The law where you live says so. Statutory cancellation and withdrawal rights apply on their own terms, whatever the rest of this page says. Clause 8.2 preserves them expressly.
Beyond these six, a refund is at our discretion. We would rather give one than argue about a month's fee, and we say so on purpose: if you paid and got nothing usable, write to us and lead with that. It is a faster conversation than you expect.
4.Price changes and renewals
A paid plan renews automatically for successive periods until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from inside the app, and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.
A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for. Clause 8.4 governs how price changes are made and notified.
5.How to ask, and how long we take
Write to billing@wavn.app from the address on the account, and say what you paid for and what went wrong. You do not need a form or a reference number.
We answer within five (5) business days. Where a refund is due, it is issued to the original payment method; how long it then takes to appear on your statement is your bank's timing, not ours, and is usually five to ten business days.
Before you dispute a charge with your bank, write to us. A dispute takes weeks and locks both of us out of a simple conversation. An email takes a day. If we owe you money we would rather send it than spend the same amount arguing about it.
6.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The version in force when you paid is the one that governs that payment. Updates are posted here with a new version number and effective date in the masthead, and recorded on the changelog.
A change that reduces what is refundable is a material change to the Terms and is handled under clause 20.2, which requires notice before it takes effect.
Wavn, Inc. Refund questions go to billing@wavn.app; questions about the documents themselves go to legal@wavn.app. This policy restates the Terms of Service, which govern in the event of any difference. The other instruments that bind alongside it are the Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Notice, Cookie Notice, Data Processing Addendum and the Sub-processor List.
